18. Pinecone Christmas Tree Centerpiece
I had such a blast making this simple DIY Pinecone Tree Centerpiece for our Christmas table! It was super affordable too – costing me less than $10 to put together, including the fairy lights!
Instead of splurging on a $14 Styrofoam cone, I made the base out of cardboard. I shaped the cardboard into a cone, taped it up, and trimmed the bottom so it stood straight.
To add extra strength and stability, I stuffed the inside with newspaper and capped the top with a cardboard circle, securing it all to a cake base with heavy-duty tape.
From there, I got to work gluing the pinecones on with a hot glue gun, starting at the base and working my way up. I alternated the direction of the cones to help fill any gaps and give it a fuller look.
To finish it off, I wrapped some fairy lights around the tree and attached the battery pack to the back.
It turned out amazing – I’m so happy with how it looks! Perfect for a festive, budget-friendly centerpiece.

17. Simple DIY Pinecone Topiary
A pinecone topiary is a stunning yet simple craft that doesn’t require much artistic skill or expensive supplies. Here’s how you can create your own best pine cone topiary!
While this project is easy, it can be a bit time-consuming depending on how big you want the topiary to be.
I remember making a couple of these years ago using foam balls the size of soccer balls, and they took me two evenings to complete while watching TV with my husband. I also needed way more pinecones than I initially thought!
This year, I simplified the process by gluing the pinecones onto ornaments instead. It was so much faster – each topiary took me about 20 minutes to finish on Thanksgiving night.
The finished topiaries look absolutely beautiful, whether displayed in a bowl on your coffee table or strung onto a garland for a festive touch.
